Day 452: a trailer

28.03.15: yeah, I cheated. But anyone who knows how bad I am at lettering, knows I should have gone for a simple (or even a complicated) trailer truck.

Day 451: a turnip

26.03.15: with a little help, this one turned into another Cobb City Most Wanted. If he flushes red on the top half of his head or if that is a birthmark, I have yet to decide...

Day 449: a jungle

25.03.15: a little departure of style and also another tribute to a classic cartoon character, both of which is always fun. Now, let's see how long before someone says it...

Day 448: a reflection

24.03.15: an idea I've wanted to try for w long time. Didn't turn out quite as I expected but it's a start and I can try again another time.

Day 447: a loading crane

23.03.15: man, I wish I had one of these when I was a kid... I probably did, and I've just forgotten. Anyway, one of these days, this will be Junior. And for those of you paying attention, yes that is four teeth!!! We are getting there!!

Day 446: a bowling pin

22.03.15: I don't know where the idea of The Lucky Strike Inn came from, I honestly don't. I do however like how the world of the Tiny Adventurer is slowly  growing. He had come a long way since he set out on his balloon. I wonder where he'll end up...

Day 444: a steak

20.03.15: my Friday night whine!! TGIFF!!! Have a great weekend, everyone!!

Day 443: a cupcake

19.03.15: like the idea, not crazy about the execution but that's what I get for drawing without my glasses and while watching the latest episode of the Flash... Oh, well...

Day 442: a thumbtack

18.03.15: our little teachers pet would NEVER pull a prank like this...we hope...

Another benchmark, on two hundred days to go!!

Day 441: bugs

17.03.15: brain dead again, so tonight I just drew the theme. I believe I did something similar on day 346 and I think a lot of people would have drawn this on the nightmare day...Wait a minute...I threw a mosquito on day 30... that is also a bug...

Day 439: a porcupine

15.03.15: another old joke, but it's all I could come up with... Still cute though...

Sunday, March 15, 2015

Day 438: unmentionables

14.03.15: I know I had a perfect opportunity to make a tribute piece or even a nudge to Sir Terry Pratchett, but it was just too difficult both because I have no mental images of Sir Vimes' Unmentionables officers and because I am actually finding it difficult to "process" the passing of Sir Terry. So instead I did this piece which is probably just an admission of being old... Either way, there you have it!

Day 437: a stain

13.03.15: for once I decided to listen to my wife and simply draw the theme of the day, so I drew a stain. For some reason I've always like the Spanish word for stain, La Mancha. Completely irrelevant, I know, but I just like that!

Day 436: footprints

12.03.15: yep, this is me trying to be philosophical. And no, I did not rip off this idea from the Lion King. Honestly I didn't! No... stop asking... okay, I admit it, it is my favorite shot of the entire movie! There, I said! Are you happy now!? Anyway, more important than my fake indignation, this ones for mu hero; my dad!

Day 435: a technological diagram

11.03.15: does it count as a swipe if you rip off yourself? Other than making up some crazy technological diagram of something, this was the best I could come up with tonight. (Oh, and in case you are wondering, it was day 356...)

Day 434: a game show host

10.03.15: a pure random and quirky tv show quote from days gone by. You know the quote, you are acknowledging the fact that you are a tv geek and that you are as old as me!!

Again, am not a caricaturist so if you don't "see" who the game-show host is suppose to be, I won't be insulted. That being said, any guesses who he is suppose to be?

Day 433: an electrical outlet

09.03.15: he wouldn't...would he?!? I hope he won't...will he...? It's so much fun, being a parent. No worries...at all...

Don't think this is what my wife hoped I'd draw when she pointed out that Junior had not featured since day 378...

Day 432: a tiny ballerina

09.03.15: I had a different idea involving the Tiny Adventurer, but my wife made a sort of request. It came out better than I thought and I am afraid that this is a little foreshadowing of what the future holds. For now the Boss only attending dance class which she really enjoys. We'll see, but for now she is (and will most likely forever be) my tiny ballerina!

Day 430: a fire truck

06.03.15: this fire truck inspired by 1935 Mickey's Fire Brigade and Kystone cops. Could've should've made it better but I kinda of sort of still like it...

Day 429: a nightmare

05.03.15: nothing's worse than dreaming of all the stress of the workday ahead. It is a real nightmare. See what I did there?!? If not, see yesterdays sketch.

Day 428: a dream

04.03.15: simple dream, but that be the dream I dream...

Day 427: mistakes

03.03.15: okey, most days I change single themes to plural. Tonight I change the plural (mistakes) to single (mistake). However, this one mistake has resulted in 427 others and eventually it will be 642 mistakes. Well, I also depicted the mistake of giving the Boss sugar and letting her at the presents...

Day 426: a stoplight

02.03.15: just some healthy meditation on my birthday. I have no issue getting older...at all...

Monday, March 2, 2015

Day 425: a cello

01.03.15: another case of where a little research paying off. The quote is attributed to the legendary celloist Pablo Casals and was his answer when he was asked the question above. The fact that he was a master of the cello and had been playing it his entire life, is not part of my drawing but adds to the story . My celloist is not based on Señor Cadals, just some old man.
