Day 565: Virginia Woolf
19.07.15: I am sorry. I am so SO sorry!! I blame Wikipedia!! I know the name Virginia Woolf and I know she was a writer of some importance (which in or self is probably insulting to those who know her work...). So what do I do? I Google her and get Wikipedia which abbreviate her entire life to "Woolf suffered from severe bouts of mental illness throughout her life, thought to have been the result of what is now termed bipolar disorder,[1] and committed suicide by drowning..." This my drawing. To all Woolf-fans out there and anyone else that find my drawing to be in bad taste, I am sorry. I am so SO sorry!!

17.07.15: thought process went as follows; harmonica -> someone playing said harmonica -> a prisoner playing said harmonica -> Wolfgang Manitoba playing said harmonica in prison -> Wolfgang Manitoba playing said harmonica in prison is torture for Reynard Fechs. And there you have it. The bad tangent with Reynards nose was a pure accident but I noticed too late and I am going to bed!

Day 560: behind the scene
14.07.15: where to start... Too ambitious. Wish I had a few more hours for this one. For those of you who know your Hergé/Tintin, will notice a bit of a tribute here. And who knew that when I introduced Murray the Mussel, he would again make his presence known?!?! (And who knew that genealogical meaning of Murray is/was "of the sea"?!? Pretty cool!) And that is Regina Dessay Patti singing the famous aria Questa è la mia puzzolente, è il pesce orrible!!" from the opera Del Mare cozze e la Sua Perla. And you know she would not have made it without Jon Pay, PI!!

I could have gone either "soldiers eat babies, that's a fact" poster, but I thought it was just a little much...) and that is a young Jon Pay falling for it... Day 558: a tractor
12.07.15: another braindead evening. Ended up ripping off Pixar again (if you're gonna rip off anybody, make sure you rip off the best). Tractor is based on the tractors from Cars, both the concept drawings and the finished design. I had nothing more than that till my wife said : leave it at that, you don't need no b/g... So now I HAD to draw a b/g...

11.07.15: for the first time in forever, I decided to watch a movie tonight. That is my excuse anyway.... When I saw the theme I said I am not drawing another knight on a bug just for the sake drawing another knight on a bug. Got come up with some really cool back story if I'm doing that... Ended up drawing another knight on a bug... And a hack job at that...sorry...

Day 549: a birdhouse
03.07.15: just realized that if I had been really intelligent, I would somehow tied this sketch to yesterday's. Maybe have a detective bird taking a statement from a distraught mummy bird whose eggs had gone missing... Somehow that just got really disturbing in my head...am now glad I didn't go with that idea...
