Day 361: the periodic table

27.12.14: doctor professor von Fricken-Flicken-Blicken auf Brickenstein is just another one of those characters that I plainly enjoy drawing (which is probably why he has been appearing sporadically since day 50). I really hope I get the opportunity to use him in a story sometime. Anyway there are at least two clues as to the fact that the good doctor professor is a man of science. Class? Anyone? Frye? Frye?

Day 314: a boom box

10.11.14: my favorite scientist/inventor, doctor professor von Fricken-Flicken-Blicken auf Brickenstein, returns with another cool device. Unlike previously, like day 130 (has it really been that long, he does get mentioned on day 218...), this is a true invention. Although the "punchline" is so bad it does not qualify as the end of a joke, but again, it made me smile...

Day 278: a circuit board

05.10.14: ah, the useless facts I have learned thanks to this blog. Like the first printed circuit board was created in 1936 by Paul Eisler. Felt that I could not use doctor professor von Fricken-Flicken-Blicken auf Brickenstein (day 218again, just because, when Mr. Eisler fit so perfectly himself. As you could see, I had no problem sending in Jon Pay to the rescue...

Vacation done. Back to work tomorrow...

Day 218: the Northern lights

06.08.14: okay, first off, Jon and Gus are expressing the frustration I found with sticking to the theme tonight.

Second, I actually wanted to drawn the Northern lights, I actually saw that as a challenge, but by it self I could not see any story (when I started).

And thirdly, drawing a hooker named Aurora Borealis, might not be the best of ideas...

Thus, Jon and Gus on a scientific assignment for doctor professor von Fricken-Flicken-Blicken auf Brickenstein (day 130, 121 and 50), holding a black and white photo of the Northern Lights. I also love Gus in his winter attire from day 125. I am actually looking forward to drawing the Jon Pay Christmas story by myself and Doc Monster just for that attire (and also because Doc Monsters script is hilarious...)
