Day 500: crutches

15.05.15: don't know if it's because of the 500 sketches or the fact that I had to watch the scoundrel by my self all day, but this is how I currently feel... (Joking aside, he was not that bad to look after, but how my wife looks after the two of them by herself, I have NO idea. I have so much respect for you, honey!!)

And there you have it, sketch 500. I these hundred have kind of happened in a blur but I am closer to the 642. My mum pointed out today that when I reach the end, I will go into withdrawal from not drawing a sketch a night. I can see that happening...

Anyway, I will again list my top five sketched from the last 100. I'd love to hear your picks...

Day 409, a squid. I am just really happy with how it turned out and i find it funny.
Day 417, a cabbage patch. I got to draw P. P. Ding, Monster Fighting Kid!!! How cool is that?!?
Day 480, a huge gold frame. It just makes me giggle.
Day 483, a jellyfish... I don't really know why...I don't like jellyfish, I know that much... Still there's something about this one.
Day 491, a partner in crime. It's my kids. I like the idea and I am happy with how it came out!

There were several of the Jon Pay one that o was really happy with, but these 5 were still the ones that stick out for me. And again, I would love to hear which stuck out for you. It doesn't have to be top five. I'd settle for your favorite.

Anyway, thank you to everyone who has stuck with me and who keeps encouraging me. Without you I would have given up a long time ago! Thank you and please stick around for the next hundred!!

  1. 484 - A Skeleton; made me laugh! No surprise though as its Gus!!
478 - A Bus Stop; this was really cute, and funny!!
459 - A Wooly Mammoth; Loved the detail on this, and he looked exactly like Manny too!!
454 - A Long Playing Record; I love Who Framed Rodger Rabbit, and the detail on this is awesome too!
415 - Icicles; Every time Gus is in an sketch, I laugh! And this one was no exception! Poor Gus!! lol

    1. This is way over due! Sorry, Dave.

Thanks for your top five. Love getting the feedback so thanks for taking the time to comment.
484 - like I said in the original blog, it was a drawing I've been wanting to do for a long time. And like you, Gus always makes me giggle too.
478 - this one was very close to making my top five too. I really liked the idea AND it brought Jon Pay and my Boss/Sophie character together for the first time.
459 - yeah, wasn't sure I'd pull that one off, I was happy with the result.
454 - one of my favorite actually surprised I haven't come up with more excuses to do stuff from it... I've said it before, caricatures aren't something I consider myself really good at and I am not sure I pull of the Judge, but I still like it.
416 - another Gus one. I like this one too. I was able to do something a little different and I think it worked out. Plus I always find it cool (no pun intended...) to draw scenes in snow. Yes, less to draw, but you also get to play with negative space and extreme black/white.
      Thanks again, David!
