Day 530: a blackberry bush

14.06.15: will looking for inspiration I came across this beautiful blackberry bush that had overgrown the bench it been planted around, to the point where it looked like a house. And thus the angry blackberry gnome (or troll...there might be some crossbreeding in there somewhere...) Rubus Rosaceae and he blackberry bush home was born. At least that's my story and I am sticking to it... 

Day 522: a pinecone

06.06.15: laugh if you will, but pinecones are the height of fashion in headgear for gnomes!! Go ahead!! Tell me I'm wrong!!! I dare you!!

Day 399: a gnome

03.02.15: this one was inspired by the fantastic work of Dutch nature artist Rien Poortvliet. His gnome book was one of the first "art books" I ever read. At the time I did not know that Mr Poortvliet was famous for his nature paintings. All I know is I loved his work as a kid. I am glad I got to look it up again.
